Mel (she/her) is a registered Psychologist who believes everyone has unique strengths and inherent value. She appreciates the immense privilege of working with and supporting people to enhance these aspects of themselves in a safe and welcoming space.

She enjoys working with adolescents and young adults, the LGBTQIAP+ community, people with gender, sexuality, and intimacy issues, complex and developmental trauma, emotional dysregulation, and people with complex mental health needs.

Mel uses a person-centred, sex-positive, and evidence-based approach in the therapeutic space. Mel’s integrative approach to therapy draws upon attachment-informed approaches, trauma-informed approaches, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), among others based on client needs. Additionally, Mel is trained in a range of neuropsychological tools and measures to support diagnostic assessment.

Mel has experience working with people of all ages in community, hospital, and private settings. She is warm, easy-going, and genuine, and collaboratively works with you to determine your needs and goals.

Mel spends her spare time collecting vinyl records and plants, cooking with friends, binge watching shows, and fostering rescue cats.
