Dr Nick Mumford

Melbourne | Telehealth

Nick (he/him) is a registered psychologist whose approach to therapy is a collaborative, client-centred method, aiming to foster a strong working relationship with clients. From there, working together to leverage and expand existing skills and abilities to support people through their present struggles, develop a deeper understanding of their life and experiences in living it, and facilitate any life-changes that may be necessary.
In his many years in private-practice Nick has always had a long therapeutic focus on working with various neurodivergent presentations including Autism, ADHD, and acquired brain injury clients. He views therapy with these clients as not only a process of working through mental health challenges, but of fostering agency, engagement in their lives, and understanding the experience of living in a world that can feel like a confusing game with no clear rules, unless of course you break one! Nick also finds working with clients in the LGBTIQAP+SB community, and those wanting to work on gender diversity concerns, including transition processes, highly engaging, and an excellent focus for psychological therapy.
Nick spends his spare time oscillating between slothfully reading or watching movies/shows, and adventurously hiking, biking, or running. All the while half wondering how his cats are doing, and if they might be feeling hungry.
