Denise is a Counselling Psychologist and passionately believes that all people are created equal, regardless of faith, ethnicity, gender diversity, sexual orientation or socioeconomic situation. Denise employs a wide variety of approaches to make sure you receive an individualised service that best suits your needs. She enjoys working together with you as you begin to rescript your story with meaning and purpose to improve your quality of life, your connection with others and nature, and have a sense of belonging.
Denise has a special interest in complex mental health, such as complex and developmental trauma, psychosis, dissociative disorders, and personality vulnerabilities. Her favourite ways to work include EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Ego State Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Denise also particularly enjoys working with people who identify as LGBTIQAP+, and/or are faith-aligned.
When not working at Haven, Denise loves travelling, and is often found near water, wineries and food.
