Dae (they/them) is a registered psychologist who is passionate about supporting people to become their most genuine selves, fully embrace their identities, and heal from trauma. Dae holds space without judgement, with a compassionate and creative style.
Dae practices from a radical neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTIQAP+-affirming lens, with a focus on Autistic and ADHD neurotypes as well as complex trauma. Dae works with adolescents and adults to help people explore their genuine selves and reach a place of acceptance and celebration instead of following rigid expectations put upon them by societal norms.
Dae is passionate about helping people understand their identity across many areas of life including neurodivergence, gender and orientation, alternative relationship structures, polyamory, and ethical non-monogamy.
Dae uses a holistic approach to help each individual find their healing and makes use of frameworks such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, somatic-based, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work.
They have experience working in government youth forensic settings, as well as community organisations including supporting people after suicide crisis.
Dae is a proud member of and advocate for the LGBTIQAP+ community, their pronouns are they/their/theirs. They enjoy caring for their plants and terrariums, meowing back at their cat, playing board games, and thrift shopping.
