Individual Therapy

Clinton (he/him) is a registered psychologist who infuses warmth and humour into his work to foster a supportive and inclusive therapeutic environment for all clients. His goal is to create space for his clients to let go of the pressure to always be the best version of themselves and instead be okay with whichever version of themselves they are right now.

Clinton collaborates with his clients to tailor his therapeutic style to their unique needs and preferences. He believes change is complex and multifaceted and hopes to help clients enact change that is specifically meaningful to them.

Clinton has a particular interest in working with the LGBTIQAP+ and neurodivergent communities and aspires to create an affirming space for clients to exist as they are. Acknowledging that clients have expertise in their own lived experience, he enjoys working alongside clients to help them explore and assert their identities and manage challenges that arise from living in a world that prioritises heteronormativity, cisnormativity, and neurotypical needs.

Clinton utilises an integrative approach to therapy, primarily drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Narrative Therapy to help clients develop skills to flexibly adapt to life’s challenges while cultivating a compassionate view towards themselves. He takes a strengths-based approach in his assessment work, placing emphasis on helping clients understand themselves and their support needs.

In his spare time, Clinton enjoys reading, baking, and listening to his Spotify playlist (mostly comprised of Eurovision songs).
