Carla (she/her) is a registered psychologist who believes in empowering others at all stages of their lives. She recognises and celebrates the strengths of her clients and loves to create a warm and non-judgemental space for people to share their wins, worries and vulnerabilities.
Carla has a background of working with children, young people and their families in government and non-government child protection agencies. Building from this experience, Carla particularly enjoys working with clients aged teens and young adults to overcome life’s challenges and past trauma to prepare for adulthood. She has an interest in supporting survivors of sexual abuse, as well as people of all ages with a range of mental health concerns.
Having completed further studies in Psychosexual Therapy, Carla wants to support people of all genders, sexual orientations, abilities, religions, and cultural backgrounds to enjoy their sexual lives free from pain, stigma, and shame. To do this, she works with the largest sexual organ – the brain! Carla also thoroughly enjoyed researching the sexual needs and behaviours of neurodiverse young people, particularly those that have experienced trauma, and has some experience in supporting people on the Autism Spectrum (AS), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Intellectual Disability (ID) to navigate their sexuality.
Outside of work, Carla loves travelling, spending time with family and hitting the Pilates studio.
